Aren’t these little guys just adorable? Wouldn’t you love to have a whole DAY filled with grooming these little dogs? The Long Haired Dachshund. No, they don’t need a lot of grooming, but it’s amazing what a little bit of grooming CAN do to make this breed look gorgeous!
Award-winning pet stylist, Lindsey Dicken calls it ‘image grooming.’ With the right tools, you just refine what the dog has and pull the look together. That’s image grooming according to Lindsey, and what a difference it can make!
To get a natural look, you need to use the correct tools. To achieve the natural look, Lindsey demonstrates the technique she uses to hand strip this coat. She walks you through her tools of choice, including multiple stripping knives she uses as carding tools, in a set order. To finish the look, she’ll flip over to using shears and blenders for a very natural appearance.
Join Lindsey as she demonstrates the steps needed to groom this breed, accentuating its proper breed standard, including those adorable chubby little feet!
