Member Video: Creative Styling: Natural Color Enhancement - 24 minutes
This quick lesson is on color enhancement. When this Schnauzer was a puppy, she was black and silver. As she aged, her rich color faded out to just silver. We see this all the time. Apricot poodle puppies start out with a rich red color but fade to buff. Black poodles that fade to gray. What about those Yorkies, Lhasas, or Shih Tzus that once had black tipping and don’t anymore?
Creative grooming isn’t about just working with bright colors. Enhancing natural color can be done easily, too. In this demonstration, award-winning creative pet groomers Angela Kumpe and Lori Craig show you how simple it is. You’ll see how quickly they take this silver Schnauzer and bring her color back to black and silver.
In this video you will learn:
- What products to use
- Safety considerations when using dyes
- Where to get the products
- How to apply it for a natural look
- How to set a price for the service in your shop
