Member Video: How to Work a Metal Guard Comb Through a Matted Coat - 10 minutes
Join Suesan Watson as she shows you how to salvage coat on a matted Standard Poodle/Doodle. The coat is soft and a mess. The owners like him fluffy. Unfortunately, the dog does not enjoy the brushing process.
Sue worked a lot of magic in the bathing and drying process off camera. She relied on products and a powerful velocity dryer to loosen much of the matted coat. In this Mini Lesson, Sue demonstrates how to use a Wahl snap-on metal guard comb over a #30 blade to cut in the pattern, and through sections of coat that are still very matted.
This Mini Lesson is an excerpt of Grooming a Black & White Doodle/Poodle.
